I have been realizing my blog is more like a diary. I do a lot of reflective posts along with a little bit of venting. But that's okay, right? I'm still communicating with you guys so let's continue...
My birthday is Monday, the 22nd! I'm going to be 20 years old. I'm happy we don't have class as an extra treat for Thanksgiving break, I wish my other classes did that. In honor of my birthday, I'm going to be celebrating it this weekend, since it falls on a Monday. My best friend and I are getting dressed up (which we love to do) and going to Chicago to meet my cousins who live there, for dinner. The girls we are meeting are my favorite cousins ever. I don't have any sisters, but they basically are mine. I love them so much, I always get the best life advice, support, and homework help from them. They are new homeowners in Chicago too! I'm proud of them and can't wait to visit. My best friend and I are gonna stay the night, then go to this museum called, "Womanish" the next day. I'm excited to go here! All of the pictures I've seen and reviews look amazing. I also love taking pictures to keep as memories and this place has plenty of good backgrounds.
After my weekend in Chicago, my parents are gonna make dinner and have my grandma and niece and nephew join us too. I love them so so so much! My mom is such a good cook, I don't even like to go out because it almost never tastes as good as the stuff she makes. My grandma is the sweetest thing ever and I just love having her around. She never makes fun of my accent when I speak Arabic with her, she powers through my mistakes and corrects me when no one else is around, she's the best. My nephew is 5 and he's always happy to be at our house, and my niece is 1 and she will smile and run towards you to pick her up and cuddle as soon as she walks through the door. I adore them and might end up just being the cool rich aunt. And last but not least, it's always nice to be around my parents and brothers. I love having a big family and don't take any of these little special moments for granted.
I had a little bit of extra free time this week, and I used it for more of self care instead of studying and catching up on homework. But, it's okay..I think. I have the right schedule and things planned out for what I have to do, I just have to go through and do it. I think I found a potential topic for my English paper, hopefully after reading some articles I can confirm it and start writing. I like doing hybrid classes, because I feel more focused at home, but I also don't want to be pushing it off and procrastinating because I'm at home and distracted with literally any little thing.

Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had a good time over the break, I think we all needed it. Personally, I prefer in-person classes but I could see how it would work well for some people.
